19-257 Blue lace sign yarn bowl (Free UK postage)

Wheel thrown handmade blue pottery yarn bowl measuring 19cm across and 8.5cm high.

This bowl was thrown by Annette on her pottery wheel and stencil decorated with a repeating tatted lace design. The stencils were eased into place on the curve of the bowl and three coats of glaze painted carefully over them. Once the glaze was dry the stencils were removed and then the surface was over-glazed with translucent white. This leaves the stencilled areas highlighted in white over a light blue background.
