Narrow double ruffle nuno felted scarf purple, shorter length

This soft merino wool scarf has been made using a nuno felting cess. The white body of the scarf consists of fine layers of merino wool fibres nuno felted to a silk chiffon base fabric. Along one side a double slightly ruffled edge has been added, one layer being a solid deep purple colour and the other being a blend of purple and pink fibres. The layout of the fibres in the border and manipulation during the felting cess results in the ruffled effect. On the reverse of the scarf only the deep purple border is visible.

A striking scarf, designed to lie naturally around the neck but long enough to tie at the neck for extra warmth if required. The scarf measures ap ximately 112cm x 12cm (44" x 4.7"). It will arrive wrapped in pretty floral tissue paper with a brief description of the nuno felting cess and full washing instructions making it an ideal gift.

Nuno felting is a cess in which the woollen fibres bind to the silk during felting.
